"The ministry summoned the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad for two consecutive times and handed him two strongly-worded protest notes against the backdrop of Turkey's attacks on Iraqi sovereignty," said the spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA). ".

He pointed out that "Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein held contacts with his Arab and foreign counterparts, explaining that" all countries at the Arab and European levels support Iraq's position and support it in defending its unity and territorial sovereignty.

He continued, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced reciprocity to Turkey, by stopping the memorandum of understanding concluded between the two sides in 2009, which provided for facilitating and granting entry visas at border ports and airports, as well as taking a decision to cancel all planned visits of Turkish officials to Iraq, foremost is the Turkish defense minister's."
