10 of Turkish special units eliminated in operation by HPG

The statement of the Media Center of the People Defense Forces, issued today, stated that “After following up and monitoring the movements of special units of the Turkish occupation army in the Berwari area of Sirt in northern Kurdistan, Bakûr, which were laying ambushes, our forces carried out a qualitative operation between Kato and Heshti squares in the area, at exactly 22:00 on August 12th, and as a result, a military vehicle carrying Turkish Special Forces personnel was destroyed, and the 10 members were eliminated, according to what was assured. This operation came on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the August 15 launch.

The statement also announced the martyrdom of the fighters in the ranks of the People Defense Forces, "Arkish and Warshin", during Turkish air strikes in the Maydan Jaraf area, located in the foothills of the Gabar Mountains in Şirnex‎ . Noting that the identity of the two martyrs will be fully revealed in a later statement.

The HPG's statement noted: “3 supporters of our movement were martyred by targeting of their vehicle on August 13th, with Turkish air strikes in the village of Reshanki in the Zawita district of Dohuk governorate.”
