Sources: European-Egyptian consultations to stop Turkish incursion on Sirte

Sources revealed that Egypt is holding consultations with Europe to stop the Turkish incursion into Sirte, Libya, and confirmed that Europe sent warnings to Turkey.

Al Arabiya Network quoted sources as saying that the Libyan army rejects Turkish conditions for a ceasefire. And revealed the consideration of sending international observers to ensure compliance with the truce.

They  pointed to European warnings to Turkey from the incursion to reach oil areas in Libya.

The sources pointed out that countries in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) support the cessation of hostilities and the Turkish withdrawal from Sirte.

They added that Egypt was holding consultations with Europe to stop the Turkish incursion into Sirte.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has warned of Egyptian intervention in Libya if Sirte falls into the hands of the Accord Government forces.
