Arab and international countries support al-Sisi's speech on Libya

The State Department's spokesperson, Morgan Ortagos, said that the speech of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi confirms the importance of Libya, its neighbors, and external actors working together to promote the ceasefire.

The State Department also confirmed its support for "Egyptian efforts to return to the UN-led political negotiations that include a larger group of Libyan voices."

While Bahrain declared solidarity and support for the Egyptian President in the right of Egypt to defend its national security, and supported Egypt in protecting and securing its western borders from terrorist and mercenary threats.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the security of the Arab Republic of Egypt is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the entire Arab nation.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom stands with Egypt in its right to defend its borders and people from extremism and terrorist militias and their supporters in the region, and the Kingdom expresses its support for what Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed that Egypt has the right to protect its western borders from terrorism.

Saudi Arabia also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and respond to the calls and initiative of President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi to reach a comprehensive solution that confirms the safety and security of Libyan lands, restore institutions and eliminate terrorism and extremist militias, and put an end to illegal foreign interventions that fuel terrorism in the region.

For its part, the UAE expressed its support for what was stated in the speech of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday in Sidi Barani regarding Libya.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed the solidarity of the UAE and its side with the Arab Republic of Egypt in all its measures to protect its security and stability from the repercussions of the disturbing developments in sister Libya.

This, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said, on Saturday, that any direct Egyptian intervention in Libya has become legitimate, stressing that "the readiness of the Egyptian forces to fight has become a necessity."

He said, "Any direct intervention in Libya will aim to secure the borders and cease-fire. Egypt has never been an advocate of aggression, but has been working to secure its borders and vital area."
