Government forces arrest more than 10 demonstrators in As Suwayda

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: "The regime forces and their security services have arrested more than 10 protesters as a result of their launch of an anti-Syrian regime demonstration in As Suwayda city, amid the continuation of tension and mobilization."

The Syrian Observatory monitored on Monday afternoon a demonstration in which dozens of As Suwayda people took place in front of al-Seir square in the city, demanding the departure of the Syrian President of the "regime" Bashar al-Assad and the overthrow of his regime, in addition to their demand to remove the detainees from the security branches of the regime.

Simultaneously, dozens of the "regime" loyalists gathered near the anti-demonstration, and went out with a pro-regime march, and according to the sources of the Syrian Observatory, the loyalists intentionally attacked and beat the demonstrators with hard tools, causing a number of wounded among the demonstrators, coinciding with heavy security deployment witnessed in the city since the morning.

Many people from the cities of As Suwayda and Daraa demonstrated in the recent period, calling for the fall of the Syrian "regime" in protest against the deteriorating economic and living conditions in all Syrian regions, and the high cost of basic materials.
