Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî displaced condemn Turkish attacks on Mexmûr and Şengal

Hundreds of displaced people from the Serêkaniyê area demonstrated in the Washokani camp today, denouncing the Turkish occupation's attacks on Şengal and Mexmûr Camp, and assuring that they will not stand idly by these attacks. Girê Spî Council condemned the attacks by issuing a statement.

Today, the four parts of Kurdistan and the general regions of northern and eastern Syria prevailed in a state of discontent, as a result of the Turkish occupation planes bombing the areas of Şengal and Mexmûr Camp (Rustem Judy) and the legitimate defense areas in southern Kurdistan, while the board of directors of Washokani camp organized in coordination with the Kongra Star and the Revolutionary Youth Movement in the province Al-Hasakah demonstration in Washokani camp in Al-Hasakeh province, condemning the Turkish attacks.

The demonstration started in front of the camp, heading towards the main entrance to the camp, during which the demonstrators carried pictures of the martyr Qasim Engin and pictures of the leader Abd Ocalan, in addition to signs that read "Revenge Is Our Promise."

During the demonstration, people chanted slogans saluting the resistance of Ocalan in Imrali prison, and slogans of solidarity with Şengal and Mexmûr which condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation.

When the demonstrators arrived at the gathering place, they observed a minute of silence, followed by a few speeches by the administrator of Kongra Star in Al-Hasakeh province, Sabah Al-Bakr and on behalf of the RYM, Salar Hasakeh.

The speeches condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation launched yesterday in the areas of Şengal and Mexmûr and the areas of legitimate defense in southern Kurdistan, and stressed that the attacks of the Turkish occupation will not weaken the will of the peoples fighting for freedom and will not break our resolve.

In the end, the words emphasized that the people of North and East Syria will not stand idly by in the face of the attacks of the Turkish occupation. They will continue their activities and will respond to all attacks until the last breath, and will not retreat from their principles and democratic thought.

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans condemning the attacks of the Turkish occupation.

Girê Spî Council: Turkey targets peaceful peoples with flimsy arguments

In the same context, Girê Spî Council condemned the Turkish attacks on civilians and hospitals in Şengal and Mexmûr camp in Başûr Kurdistan, through a statement issued to the public.

The statement was read in the presence of all the members of the committees of the Ain Issa district and Girê Spî district / Tel Abyad by a member of the Education Committee Muhammed Mahmoud, who noted that the Turkish occupation targets every people living freely and peacefully without distinction between nationalism or affiliation with flimsy arguments that it creates to justify His crimes, recalling its occupation of the Syrian territories of Afrin, Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain and Girê Spî / Tel Abyad, which were occupied by the same false arguments.

He pointed out that the history of these attacks coincided with the remembrance of the Seyfo Genocide against the Assyrians on the 15th of June 1915. During the statement, he indicated that those who are being targeted are people who defend their land and culture, which is one of the oldest cultures, and they never attacked the borders of any neighboring country. .

They concluded their statement by affirming their solidarity with the people of Şengal and Mexmûr, stressing that they will not stand idly by regarding these violations that target the regions of northern and eastern Syria and Şengal.

The Turkish occupation targeted air strikes midnight yesterday, civilians and hospitals in the areas of Şengal and northern Iraq and the Mexmûr refugee camp.
