The Russian military police began a joint patrol with forces of the Turkish occupation from the border village of Gharib, east of the city of Kobani, on the Syrian-Turkish border.

4 armored vehicles from each side will participate in the patrol, in addition to two Russian helicopters.

The patrol is scheduled to roam the villages of "Gharib, Alichar, Kortec, Tal Hajeb, Hualaki, Itoeran Tahtani, Khrab Nass," and other villages along this line.

The conduct of the patrol came within the framework of the Sochi understandings reached by Russia and Turkey on October 22, 2019, and the understanding stipulated that the SDF will withdraw beyond 32 kilometers from the Syrian-Turkish border, provided that joint Russian-Turkish patrols will be conducted on the border.
