Today, the Iraqi Security Media Cell reported that ISIS mercenaries launched a new attack on a security post south of Baghdad, killing one soldier and wounding another.

The cell said in a statement that "a terrorist group belonging to ISIS mercenaries opened fire on a 17th division security post in the village of Habash, in the Sadr al-Yusifiyah area, south of Baghdad."

The cell indicated that the accident resulted in "the death of a combatant and the injury of another."

On the 23rd of this month, the security media cell said, "Direct fire by ISIS mercenaries at a point belonging to the 17th Brigade of the Federal Police in Samarra, resulted in the injury of two affiliates."

ISIS mercenaries have intensified their attacks in Syria and Iraq during the recent period.
