Yemeni politician: Turkey recruited Syrian mercenaries to fight in Yemen control on Bab al-Mandab

In an exclusive meeting held by Hawar news agency (ANHA), with Yemeni journalist and political analyst Yahya al-Abed, talked about Turkish's ambitions it is not new but are linked with caliphate's dream and the desire of the Muslim Brotherhood to control the ports and important areas that support Turkey's control of the Arab region.

He revealed that Turkey with the onset of erupting of the so-called" Arab Spring" has supported the Muslim Brotherhood "Brotherhood Reform" with supporting Qatar State to change the regime in Yemen in order to impose its agenda and control over the country due to its strategic and geographical location.

He pointed out that Turkey from 2011 to 2015 established an air bridge between Aden and Turkey to supply the Brotherhood with fighters and trafficking ISIS' elements from Yemen to Turkey to bring them into Syria to consolidate its position there.

Al-Abed pointed out that what Turkey is doing is international ambitions and not a limited party support process, stressing that Erdogan has great ambitions to control and enhance his position in Bab al-Mandab region and the Red Sea so that it controls international navigation in that region along the Yemeni and Horn of Africa coasts represented in Somalia and parts of Ethiopia.

And he noted that Turkey is rapidly exploiting the situation there due to the weakness of Yemeni government leadership and control of the Brotherhood on Yemeni decision, so it took advantage of the presence of the former Minister of Transport to sign agreements with the Turks to hand over the Yemeni ports, a decision that the Yemeni Prime Minister rejected and is still a path of controversy, noting that Turkey does not target Yemen with these accelerated steps, but it is antagonizing Egypt and all countries that stand against its expansionist settlement project in Libya, Syria, and a number of Arab countries.

Al-Abed revealed that Turkey recruited Syrian mercenaries by granting the equivalent of 850 Turkish lira to every mercenary arriving in Turkey, and gave them salaries starting from $ 5,000 in order to prepare them to fight for the Muslim Brotherhood in the southern regions and the western coast of Yemen.

Al-Abed pointed out that the Turkish project funded and supported by Qatar is the most serious threat to Arab regional security and threatens Egypt's interests in the Red Sea region, which calls for the necessity of Cairo standing with Yemen to confront this coming threat that threatens its national security from Turkey.

He stressed that Turkey threatens the interests of the Arab peoples in the region, pointing out that Turkey imposed several agreements on Yemen, exploited the ravaged country to achieve its ambitions after launching" Arab Spring", and difficult situation of Yemen after controlling "Ansar al-Houthi" over the northern regions in Sana'a, the transitional council in the southern governorates, and the government under the Brotherhood’s decision in Marib. 

Al-Abed stressed that these divisions made it easier for Turkey to exploit the situation and strengthened its ambitions, along with Iran, which imposed itself on Yemen and was able, through its loyal Houthis, who were implementing its dangerous project in Yemen, to control the Hodeidah port, which is one of the most important Yemeni ports, and became a source for entering of weapons and militants to support The Houthis are no less dangerous than the Turkish plan in Yemen, as both seek to control the Red Sea region.

He explained that the Egyptian diplomatic moves at the world level to thwart and besiege the Turkish project in Libya made Turkey seek painful alternatives to Egypt by supporting the Muslim Brotherhood to control the seaports in Yemen.
