Foreign Affairs Ministry: Erdogan continues to lie, mislead to protect terrorist groups

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian regime confirmed today that the statements of the head of the Turkish regime, Erdogan, reaffirm the approach of lying, misleading and evasiveness that governs his policies, and his lack of respect for any commitment or agreement, and noted that what Erdogan is doing is to protect his tools from terrorist groups.

An official source in the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Syria deplores the insistence of the President of the Turkish regime, Erdogan, to continue lying and misleading about his behavior in Syria, especially his claim regarding the entry of his forces to northern Aleppo under the Adana agreement to combat terrorism."

The source added, "Syria affirms that the Adana agreement imposes coordination with the Syrian government as an agreement between two countries, and therefore Erdogan cannot, according to the requirements of the agreement, act unilaterally."

The source stressed that the statements of the head of the Turkish regime reaffirm the approach of lying, misleading and evasiveness that governs his policies and lack of respect for any commitment or agreement, whether in the framework of Astana, Sochi understandings or the obligations of the Adana agreement.

Today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has renewed his threats to the Syrian regime and has given him to withdraw to what is known as the Turkish observation points until the end of February, threatening to launch an attack there.
