Sharvan Darwish: Attacks targeting Manbij, coinciding with IDPs reception

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries shelled with heavy weapons from the occupied villages of Jarablus during the evening hours of Tuesday, the village of Toukhar, north of the city of Manbij, near Aoun Dadat crossing, which weeks ago has received dozens of families displaced from the fighting in Idlib.

Manbij and al-Bab Military Councils both responded to the sources of the shelling, which also targeted villages in the eastern countryside of al-Bab, within the framework of the legitimate right of defense.

In this context, the official spokesman for Manbij Military Council, Sharvan Darwish, said that targeting the villages of Manbij came hours after the council issued a statement in which he called "the children of Manbij working in the areas of the Euphrates Shield, to stay away from the Turkish policy based on the dedication of a mercenary culture, and plunged the people of the country into terrorist military formations that serves Turkish nationalist and expansionist ambitions only. "

Darwish noted that the shelling on the northern villages of Manbij, adjacent to Aoun Dadat crossing, and the attempt to infiltrate the Sayadah hill, came in conjunction with the arrival of hundreds of displaced people from rural and urban Idlib to Manbij, northern and eastern Syria.

Darwish added that "there are forces that are trying to trade in the displaced, given their suffering, foremost of which is the Turkish occupation and hindering their arrival from the horror of the battles to our safe areas, by fabricating the attacks, as happened during the past two days."

More than 220 IDP families from Idlib crossed from Aoun Dadat crossing to the northern and eastern regions of Syria, in light of the intensified battles on the international roads M4 and M5 between the Syrian regime and its allies on the one hand and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation on the other hand.
