​​​​​​​Suleiman Shitou: ENKS's link with Turkish state hinders unity

The Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria has declared its support for the SDF's Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi's initiative for the Kurdish rank unity.

The administration stressed that the National Council parties could open their offices and work without restrictions, but they were making excuses and pretexts to evade the Kurdish unity for their own interests and to close links with the Turkish occupation state.

The Kurdish unity has become one of the most important issues nowadays, especially after the Turkish offensive on the north and east regions of Syria, and its occupation of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî / Tel Abyad in addition to some villages and other border areas close to the lines of the clashes.

In this context, Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed the notable of Havirka clan, Suleiman Shitou, and he said at the outset of his speech: "The Kurdish National Council is known for its membership in the Syrian coalition, and it has not decided on the unity of the Kurdish row so far, but as we see that the Council has changed its position more than before. However, some figures obstruct the unity because of their links with the Turkish state."

Shitou noted that the Kurdish National Council is obstructing the Kurdish unity because it is linked with the Turkish state over many agreements. Therefore, it cannot move away from the Turkish plans in the region.

Shitou pointed out that the fateful decision of unity is at the hands of the Kurdish people: "The Kurdish parties must take the opinion of the people seriously. We have sacrificed thousands of martyrs and wounded. With our failure to unite,  a disaster will befall the Kurdish people," Shitou said.

The notable of Havirka clan added: "The Kurdish people and parties must be aware of the foreign intelligences because some of these parties are linked to these intelligences."

Shitou stressed the need for all Kurdish people to be in one rank with one decision, and the parties are supposed to avoid differences because today is the day of the Kurdish unity.

Suleiman Shitou said the Great Powers are working on a new map of Syria: "We must be the main part of this map, and without achieving unity, the Kurds will not get any of their rights."

Shitou said the General Mazloum Abdi's initiative was good, and many Kurdish parties supported this initiative with the exception of some people, but over time, they will accept this initiative for the Kurdish unity.

The notable of Havirka clan, Suleiman Shitou, called on the Kurdish people to pressure the Kurdish parties to sit down at a single dialogue table for achieving the Kurdish unity.
