Kurdish clans demand people to put pressure on parties that obstruct unity

A member of the Kurdish Tribes Council called on the Kurdish people to take decisive decision towards Kurdish parties that hinder efforts to unify the Kurdish rank.

Almost all Kurdish parties in Rojava and the rest of Kurdistan agree on the necessity to unify the Kurdish ranks, but a few parties impede the efforts of unity, despite popular demands to unify the ranks.

Member of the Kurdish Tribes Council, Abdul khader Watti stressed the necessity for the Kurdish parties to unite their ranks, stating: "We are going through a sensitive stage, and we must preserve our gains made thanks to the blood of the martyrs, and nothing prevents us from national unity."

He called on all Kurdish parties and forces to put their partisan differences aside, and held a meeting to come up with joint decisions that serve the unity of the Kurdish rank.

Watti praised the initiative launched by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, Mazloum Abdi, after the Turkish attack on the regions of NE, Syria on October 9, 2019, and explained that they, like the Kurdish Tribes Council, stressed the necessity of all Kurdish parties to respond to this initiative. He indicated that the Kurdish parties' positive stances on the initiative are appreciated.

"We will hold accountable those who evade the unification of the Kurdish ranks."

He noted, however, that some Kurdish parties have not yet taken concrete steps regarding the Kurdish national unity, and indicated that the Kurdish Tribes Council decided to hold meetings with the Kurdish parties to urge them and pressure them to take serious steps in this regard.

And he added: "For 1400 years we have been living under the oppression of the world, and no one has recognized us, so we have to think about ourselves and our country and unite our ranks, and whoever does not at this stage in which we are attacked by the enemy who is planning to annihilate us, we as Kurdish tribes will rise by holding them accountable and release statements against them. "

He also stressed the need for parties to abandon their arguments, such as the presence of detainees in Autonomous Administration's prisons or the like, and said: "The people presented thousands of their children in order to protect this land and defend its dignity."

And he noted that the role of some Kurdish forces in uniting the Kurdish rank, and said: "The leadership of Başûr Kurdistan plays an important role in the Kurdish movement, and it can pressure the National Council parties to take steps towards unifying the Kurdish rank."

Abdul Khader Watti, one of the notable of Qara Kiji Daguri clan in Amuda district, studied Sharia law at the University of Damascus, joined the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria after its founding in 1957, and in 1961 joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PARTI), resigned in 1970, and in 1970. 2013 joined the Kurdish Tribes Council.
