+4,500 refugees reached in Washokani camp, Organizations neglect

Hundreds of thousands of people were displaced from NE, Syria, especially the border areas, as a result of the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries. The Autonomous Administration in North and East of Syria in the city of al-Hasakah has allocated more than 64 centers to forcibly displaced people, in addition to the Washokani camp located 12 km west of the city of al-Hasakah.

The administrator in Washokani camp, Hassan Yusef, explained to Hawar news agency (ANHA) that the number of tents reached more than 805 tents and inhabited by more than 900 families.

Hassan Yusef said, "Today, new batches have arrived in the camp, and thus the number of displaced people has reached more than 4,500, from the people of Serêkaniyê and its villages and some border areas."

Yusef noted, It is because bad conditions of the weather in the area, "We cannot work more in the camp and build tents. In the coming days, we will intensify our efforts to work more before the weather conditions get worse."

Despite the large number of refugees inside the camp, international organizations are neglecting to provide them with assistance, and assistance is limited to what is provided by Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Kurdish Red Crescent.
