Amuda people: YPG are the pillars of power for the people of the region

The people of Amuda region called on the youth to join the ranks of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and defend their lands against the Turkish occupation army, which targets the presence of the Kurdish people and all the peoples of northeastern Syria, and stressed that the women are the mainstay of their strength.

Since October 9, the Turkish occupation forces have launched attacks on the regions of north-eastern Syria, targeting, through its attacks, the people of the region with all its components. Turkey is also trying, through its diplomatic meetings, to distort the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units who defended the people of the region and preserved national unity within Syria.

Erdogan supported and backed terrorism

In this regard, Amuda people stressed the necessity of supporting the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units, and called on all young men and women to join their ranks. Citizen Ahmed Sheikhimos explained: "The attempts of the Turkish state to include the YPG in the lists of terrorism at the NATO meeting were unsuccessful." He said: "The whole world is aware that those who fought and eliminated terrorism are YPG, YPJ, and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters, and Erdogan is the one who supported and backed terrorism."

Ahmed Sheikhimos denounced the Turkish bombing of Tal Rifaat district in Al-Shahba district, which resulted in the death of 10 civilians, including 8 children, on December 2, and he said: “Whoever kills children is the terrorist, so Turkey and its mercenaries kill civilians, loot and rob their property.”

He noted that the People's Protection Units and the Women’s Protection Units protected all components without exception, and stated: "The Turkish state fights the aspirations of the people in northern and eastern Syria by targeting the People's Protection Units."

Protection Units are our sons and daughters

Ahmed Sheikhamos focused on the necessity of strengthening YPG and the inclusion of young men and women in its ranks. He said: “We, as a people, support the units because they are our sons and daughters and we stand with them.” He called on all young people abroad to return home and join the ranks of the People's and Women Protection Units and the Syrian Democratic Forces to protect their families and people from Turkish attacks.

For its part, the citizen Jazia Berry appealed to the youth not to stay in the house and go out to the fields of war alongside the People’s Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units and take up arms to defend their land.

"The YPG and YPJ are our support, and I appeal to all the Kurdish people and the young people in particular to carry arms and join the ranks of YPG and YPJ." said Dlasha Haj Younis.
