2nd youth conference in Mideast: What are tactical and strategic objectives?

In 2015, the first Conference of the Middle East youth was held in the city of Amouda in northern Syria. After extensive discussions, and meetings the Middle East Youth Initiative was formed on the 14 of July 2018. Accordingly, young people are preparing for the second conference.

Youth from the Arab, Kurdish, Syriac, Armenian and Turkish components take their place in the Middle East Youth Initiative. Within the initiative, there are organizations representing youth, namely: Democratic Syria Youth Council, Youth Associations, Democratic Conservative Party, Youth Union in Rojava, Free Women's Union. Marxist-Leninist Marxist Party in Rojava, Unity and People Support, Arab National Body, Arab Youth Movement, and the Youth Association of the Kurds

The second conference of the Middle East Youth Initiative will be held on the 20th of this month in the city of Kobani, under the slogan "Led by the Youth Towards Pluralistic and Democratic Middle East." Young people from all Middle Eastern countries are expected to attend the conference in a total of nearly 400 young men and women, according to the Preparatory Committee.

Tactical and strategic objectives

The tactical goals of the conference will be to: Identify the movements, organizations and personalities fighting in the Middle East, discuss the crises of the Middle East and ways of resolving them, establishing a joint mechanism of action.

The strategic objectives are: to establish a common spirit of struggle in order to establish a democratic and socialist Middle East, to step up the democratic approach of peoples within the crises of the Middle East and to disseminate the directives of the uprising and revolution against power in the Middle East.

Conference will be a message to the Turkish threats

A member of the Preparatory Committee for the conference, Abdul Ghani Omar, said that the aim of the unification of the Middle East youth is that there are 28 young men and women in the Preparatory Committee and there are committees within the Preparatory Committee, namely the training committees, the media "Our goal is to establish a youth unit against occupation plans targeting the region, we have sent invitations to young people in many countries and they are due to attend, but there are countries that hinder the presence of youth in the conference.

The subject of assault on women will be the focus of discussions

Member of the Diplomatic Committee of the Second Confederation of the Middle East Youth: said that one of the objectives of conference is to seriously address the issue of the attack on young women in the Middle East. "We are expected to take a step against the slavery imposed on women in the Middle East.
