Videoed ... Kobanî after 4 years of destruction

As a result of the fierce fighting that took place in the streets of Kobanî city in late 2014 after launching a large-scale military operation from three axes towards Kobanî, the destruction covered most of the neighborhoods of the city for the people to begin the process of reconstruction once again. In the video footage, we show the destruction that targeted the city after 4 years.

After IS mercenaries headed to the besieged Kobanî at the far north of Syria in September 2014, accompanied by heavy weapons seized from al-Mosul and al-Raqqa, the city was transformed by mutual bombardment between the People and Women Protection Units (YPG, YPJ) and the bombing of the Global Coalition's aircrafts that targeted the mercenaries in the streets of the city on one hand and IS' bombing on the other hand to rubble, where 70% of the city was destroyed.

During the scenes we show you for the first time, it is clear that the city's infrastructure, buildings and streets were destroyed four years ago which illustrates the intensity and severity of the fighting that has lasted for almost four months in the city.

The video includes aerial scenes of the city that were taken a few days ago of the city's neighborhoods, and the other side of the city. The city witnessed urban construction and rapid reconstruction, as well as rehabilitation of the infrastructure in conjunction with the failure of hundreds of organizations that promised to rebuild the city after the destruction.
