'Any reckless attempt by Erdogan to be as suicide, beginning of new Ottoman's fall'

The resistance of the residents of Serê Kaniyê on the border against the Turkish occupation entered its thirteenth day despite the cold and rainy weather. Every day, the tent receives delegations of residents, civil centers and institutions.

Tens of members of the co-chairs of the people's municipalities councils of al-Hasakah canton participated in the sit-in tent and expressed their rejection of the Turkish threats against the northern and eastern regions of Syria.

During the sit-in, several speeches were delivered and noted that the Syrian north became the safe embrace for thousands of displaced refugees. Turkey is therefore trying to threaten these safe areas in northern and eastern Syria as it did in Afrin which was safe and stable and where co-existence used to be prevailed by all components within the democratic project.

The speeches noted, "The peoples of northern and eastern Syria will defend their land and people. The will of these peoples to live freely is stronger than Erdogan's power and arms. Victory will be our ally because we are the owners of the right."

The speeches condemned the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and the prevention of visiting him by his lawyers and relatives to reveal his health.

It is suggested that the participation of the members and co-chairs of the people's municipalities councils in al-Hasakah canton will continue their sit-in in solidarity with the people of Serê Kaniyê for two days.
