Marwan al-Fatih fought for his people's freedom

The components of the north and east of Syria explained that Marwan was one of the first strugglers to take part in the struggle and one of the founders of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council. He worked for the sake of solving the Syrian crisis, ensuring the freedom for the people regardless of the threats he was subjected to.

Hundreds of Qamishlo city and delegations from the north and east of Syria bid farewell the corpse of the martyr Marwan al-Fatih, the co-chair of the Legislative Council of the Civil Administration in Deir ez-Zor, who was martyred by unknown armed groups on his return from work on December 29 on Deir ez-Zor_al-Hasaka road, to his last resting place at the Martyr Delil Sarokhan Shrine in Qamishlo city.

The funeral ceremony of the martyr Marwan al-Fatih was started by presenting a military parade by the People's and Women's Protection Units in conjunction with holding a minute of silence by the participants.

For her part, the co-chair of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD), Elham Ahmed, praised the struggle shown by Marwan al-Fatih for the freedom of his people and added, "Marwan is one of the first who participated in the struggle and one of the founders of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council. He worked to resolve the Syrian crisis, and to ensure the freedom of his people despite the threats he was subjected to."

The co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council Ghassan al-Yousef said, "Marwan was one of the first people to join the democracy's project and one of the first who established the democratic institutions in the regions of Deir ez-Zor."

After delivering the speeches, the member of the Martyrs' Families Council in Qamishlo Rafin Sheikhmos read the martyr Marwan's document and it was handed over to his family.
