SDF eliminated 71 mercenaries

The media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) said that their fighters were able to inflict heavy losses on mercenary ranks, adding that they managed to eliminate 71 mercenaries in addition to the seizure of quantities of weapons and ammunition. This came during a statement issued by the center for the last 24 hours of the battle to defeat terrorism.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces published the outcomes of military operations during the last 24 hours of the battle to defeat terrorism to eliminate IS mercenaries in the last stronghold of Deir ez-Zor.

The text of the statement is:

- Al-Bagouz axis: in the morning this front witnessed violent clashes between our fighters and members of the IS terrorist organization, where terrorists used heavy weapons to target the points and positions of our forces, and the clashes lasted several hours, our fighters finally inflict heavy losses in the ranks of terrorists, .

The terrorists once again attempted to launch another attack on our fighters' points, but it was also thwarted.

In the evening, our forces launched an attack on the positions of IS organization and advanced approximately 2 kilometers. They were able to install 29 new points after heavy clashes with the terrorists and heavy losses of lives and equipment. Our fighters also seized quantities of weapons and military equipment and ammunition.

On another side of this axis, our fighters launched an attack on the terrorists' points, advancing and being able to install 6 more points, amid violent clashes with terrorists and raids by the International Alliance aircraft.

2 - Hajin axis: Terrorists attacked the front positions of our forces, where violent clashes broke out and a number of terrorists killed, and the terrorists then used the shelling from far, where they bombed our positions with mortars and artillery, but they did not cause any damage .

A number of our fighters were also wounded and taken to hospital for treatment.

This axis was witnessing intermittent clashes until the preparation of this outcome.

3. The final outcome of the clashes:

- The number of terrorist deaths: 71 / Terrorist.

- The weapons and equipment seized by our fighters: grenades / 6 /, (RPG) weapons / 5 / (BKC) ammunitions.

- Terrorist losses: the destruction of terrorist attack sites 44, the destruction of the location of a sniper / 1, the destruction of a car / 1 /.

- Number of airline strikes by the International Coalition : 50 / strike.
