Syrian jurist: 'Syrian-Syrian dialogue is basis for resolving Syrian crisis'

In an interview held by ANHA agency, the Syrian jurist Gabriel Mustafa considered the Syrian dialogue as the most effective way to resolve the Syrian crisis. He said that the dialogue is excellently a national solution.

The Syrian jurist Gabriel Mustafa spoke about the Syrian-Syrian dialogue Forum which was held in Ain Issa which was called "Building and Progress". It was organized by MSD and attended by opposition delegations from inside and outside. They discussed the Syrian situation and ways of resolving the crisis in the country.

Gabriel Mustafa who attended the conference said, "There would be no solution to the Syrian crisis except through the dialogue among the Syrians. The recent years have proven that external interventions bring nothing but destruction, devastation and murder to the Syrian people, for example Sochi and Astana which did not represent the will of the Syrian people."

Mustafa stressed that the Syrians feel the suffering of their people, so if they met, a solution would be agreed on, and this will only be achieved through a national dialogue.

He added," There will be other dialogues in the future. In the near future, the draft of the new Syrian constitution will be shown because the current one does not serve the Syrian people, and the majority of those who attended (the Syrian dialogue) agreed on the draft of the social contract and the solution of the Syrian crisis."

At the end of his speech, he stressed, "In Syria, there are people of this land who fought and resisted the Ottoman occupation and even the French, but they were excluded under these constitutions from political, economic and even social life, and this indicates that the constitutions must represent the will of the people."
