Traffic procedures in al-Raqqa for citizens, drivers' safety

The Traffic Police seeks to consolidate the concept of traffic culture in light of the chaos experienced by the city during the past years, control the passing of small and large machineries and alert drivers with practical instructions to pay attention while driving and speeding to prevent accidents in the climatic conditions witnessed in the area during winter.

The city of al-Raqqa is witnessing rains, causing accidents of the cars due to the slide and lack of visibility during the fog in the early morning hours, causing traffic accidents due to blocking the vision of drivers.

The administrator in the Traffic Police in al-Raqqa, Musa al-Assaf, said, "We are working on the distribution of traffic points at the entrances and exits of the city in order to preserve the safety of the citizens, and work to disseminate awareness-raising leaflets with the onset of winter and the formation of a dense fog."

"These patrols aim at the deployment of road signs along the roads, speeding down for fear of sliding of the cars, ensuring the glass scanners, reducing the cowardly driving of motorists," al-Assaf said.

Al-Assaf added at the end of his speech, "We hope our parents and drivers in the city of al-Raqqa to ensure the safety of cars from glass scanners and dazzling lights before going to the workplace."
