729 injured by earthquake hit Kermanshah

The number of wounded left by the earthquake that hit the province of Kermanshah in Rojhilat (East Kurdistan) has reached 729 injured so far.

The number of people affected by the earthquake that hit Kermanshah province has risen to 729 so far according to Fars news agency.

Mujtaba Khalidi, the spokesman for Iran's Emergency Organization told the Iranian Fars news agency that the earthquake which hit Kermanshah province on Sunday has resulted in wounding 729 people and 37 were taken to the hospital for receiving the medical treatment.

He said that 44 ambulances are providing services in the earthquake areas. No information obtained about the death of any one by the earthquake.

It is worth mentioning that an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale hit the suburbs of Sarbal city on Sunday evening in Kermanshah province.

A devastating earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale hit west of Kermanshah on November 12 last year, 11 km away from the city of Azkala, killing 620 people and injuring more than 12,000 others.
