Executive Council, Women Body’s committees hold 1st meeting

The Executive Council of North and East Syria's Autonomous Administration held a meeting with the Women's Body in Autonomous Administration in  north and east Syria and the Women's Committees in  Autonomous and Civil Administrations of north and east Syria.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Autonomous Administration Bodies in Ain-Issa district belonging to Tel-Abyed/ Girê Spî  was attended by co-chair of the Executive Council in the Autonomous Administration Berivan Khaled, the Executive Vice-Chair of the Executive Council Rohlat Aref and the co-chair of the Women's Committee, Jihan Khadro as well as representatives of women's committees in autonomous and civil administrations.

The meeting began with a minute of silence then the participants discussed the situation of women in the cities of north and east Syria, the mechanism of work of the women's committees in these cities and the difficulties and obstacles they face, starting with the small communes in neighborhoods and even women's committees in civil and autonomous departments.

The participants formed a committee to establish an internal system for the women's body to be worked out during the coming period.

Participants touched upon of events in north and east Syria on the occasion of World Day Combating of Violence against Women.

At the end of the meeting, he set a date for a regular monthly meeting of the Women's  Body with its committees in the seven autonomous and civil administrations with a view to coordinating and continuing the work.
