Afrin people: We will still struggle till return to Afrin

As winter season has come the people of Afrin who are residing in al-Shahba camps face harsh living conditions, while Human Rights organizations have not moved till now to provide any kind of relief assistance to them.

The residents of Afrin say that they are not waiting for any assistance because they will organize themselves and help each other to challenge the difficulties to return to Afrin after the expulsion of the occupation from it.

Ahmed pointed out that the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) is the only that has provided assistance to the camps of al-Shahba since 8 months as much as it can.

Abdo Barakat, from the village of Faqira belonging to Janders area in Afrin canton, said, "We live in the camp despite the lack of aid, and the organizations have not provided any help. We do not rely on any organization to bring aid to us. The winter season approaches, the weather would be cold in al-Shahba, but we will still struggle and face the winter season till we return to Afrin."

Ibrahim Barakat from Faqira village said, "The people of Afrin have shown a historic resistance against the Turkish occupation army, and we will not forget 58 days of resistance because these days were a great victory and resistance for us on the Turkish state and its mercenaries, but as a result of brutal attacks with all their heavy weapons and warplanes on Afrin, we were forced to displace of our city because they destroyed our homes and committed massacres against us."
