Ahmed al-Derzi: Turkey tries to annex Syrian areas to its map

During an interview held by Hawar news agency with the Syrian opponent Ahmed al-Derzi, he discussed the issue of Idlib, the states' competition for imposing control on it, and Turkey's role in postponing the battle of Idlib.

He said, "Idlib's real problem is that it has become the last obstacle of all the illegal forces involved in the war. It carries the characteristics of the end of the war in Syria without achieving the final goals during nearly eight years, especially for Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar and the other party which includes Russia and Iran which supported Damascus and got closer to it."

The Syrian opponent, Ahmed al-Derzi said that the forces on the ground feel that the conditions that have been created for the Russian-Turkish agreement have begun to fade and that the pressing entitlements on all parties are leading the scene which motivates the Turkish aggression forces to deliver the message to Damascus so as not to think about implementing the agreement or any very expensive military action.

In the course of his speech, al-Derzi stressed that the media blackout on the issue of Idlib is not the result of existing an international agreement that justifies its cause as much as it is waited by all the parties to what can be achieved among themselves, and everyone is waiting to be in their favor, pointing to the countries guarantee the Syrian crisis.

He added, "The Turks want to annex the areas of Idlib, Manbij and the north-east of the Euphrates to their map according to the maps drawn in 1920, in addition to admiting their dominant regional role in the area."

Al-Derzi pointed out, "All the parties do not want to lose Idlib before achieving a number of gains, the first of all is to remove the Iranians and Hezbollah from Syria in the interests of Israel, in addition to the economic gains and other interests of the countries guarantee the Syrian crisis."
