'Violations aimed at undermining our democratic project'

Kongra Star in the south area of al-Hasakah issued a statement to the public opinion condemning all actions aimed at undermining the will of women at al-Khabour Center for Culture and Art in al-Mufti neighborhood of the city.

The statement was read by a member of the Kongra Star Relations Committee, Slava Shekhmos, in the presence of dozens of Kongra Star members in the southern side.

The text of the statement:

According to the current circumstances of what happened in Syria and North Syria in particular of violations and infiltration of terrorist organizations that have caused corruption in Syria, and in our adoption to defend women to obtain their rights and salvation from various forms of violence against them, and suppression of freedom and change the perception of inferiority and salvation from continued suffering.

We, as the administration of the southern side of al-Hasakah area, denounce and condemn these criminal acts against women and the violations they have faced under the control of IS terrorists of killing, raping, stabbing and kidnapping.

We also strongly condemn the continuing violations against our people in Afrin and the recent attacks on Girê Spî and Kobani, which aim to strike the democratic project, the peoples' brotherhood and coexistence. "
