Continuing activities of World Day against Violence against Women

Kongra Star in Girê Spî canton organized a lecture on violence against women and how to combat violence as part of a series of events launched by Kongra Star in preparation for World Day against Violence against Women.

In conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the series of events launched by Kongra Star on this occasion, Kongra Star in Girê Spî canton has organized a lecture on violence against women and how to combat it.

The lecture was held in the rural rehabilitation hall, in the presence of dozens of residents of the canton. During the lecture, the administrator at Kongra Star Dilan Hasan has explained the types of violence against women and the damage caused by violence, whether psychological or physical.

She said "Violence is still practiced on women in particular by mercenary gangs, and in recent times, there has been an upsurge in violence, especially in light of Turkey's occupation of many parts of North Syria, and "Rasha Basis was a victim of violence against women."

Syrian Women's Council member Shamsa Sino said that all women should revolt to lift the injustice against women and to fight violence against them.

The lecture ended with slogans echoing women's freedom.
