Sanhrib Barsum: US position supports Turkish policies denying peoples

Washington would provide financial rewards to those who would provide information to help it to arrest a number of militants and leaders of the PKK. To talk about the issue as well as about the recent Turkish attacks on North Syria, Hawar news agency has met with the co-chair of the Syrian Union Party Sanhrib Barsum.

'US must support the peoples' rights'

Barsum said that the US is a great country in the world, and it must always stand with the peoples' rights, support their demands for freedom, and seek to promote security and stability in the world, pointing out that America needs to stand along with the demands of the Kurdish people in North Kurdistan.

Barsum noted that the American declaration strengthens the conflict in Turkey and strengthens the position of the Turkish government in denying the rights of peoples, especially the rights of the Kurdish people. He added "The Turkish Erdoganian regime is an authoritarian regime that tries to marginalize all identities in the Turkish state, as well there are other peoples and other components beside the Kurds such as the Assyrians, Syriacs and Armenians."

He also said that the American position came in favor of the Turkish policy in some way in the marginalization of peoples and it is dragged behind the Turkish policies for its own interests so the US must work to consolidate freedoms and rights for all peoples in Turkey rather than continuing the conflict."

Turkey issues its internal problems through its intervention in North Syria

On the latest Turkish attacks on North Syria, Barsum said that Turkey is seeking through these attacks to export its internal crisis through the intervention in North Syria, and he said, "The Kurds in Syria are demanding their legitimate rights, and the Turkish territory has not received any military aggression from the borders of North Syria throughout these years in which these areas were managed by the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces."

Terrorist organizations supported by Turkey pose a threat to the entire world

Barsum pointed out that the US and a number of countries of the world cooperated with Turkey in the international conspiracy against the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, and these countries continue this policy by targeting PKK leaders in line with their interests and to satisfy Turkey.

He continued, "The US must stand with the peoples, not with the authoritarian regimes in the Middle East, and by supporting the demands of these peoples, it would have devoted the security and stability throughout the Middle East because these wars and chaos constitute an environment for the growth of terrorist organizations. Turkey was the greatest supporter of these terrorist organizations which pose a danger to all the Western countries, Europe and America. The Middle East therefore needs radical political solutions to ensure that the requirements of the peoples in these countries are met to overcome these stages and to achieve peace and eliminate the terrorist organizations and those who adopt this ideology and fight it and prevent its appearance again."

The co-chair of the Syriac Union Party Sanhrib Barsum called upon the Alliance Countries to fulfill their responsibilities towards the North Syria's areas, strengthen their cooperation in fighting and defeating terrorism and support the demands of the peoples of North Syria.
