Iran continued its repressive practices ,arrested 9 activists

Activists detained in Iranian prisons suffer from mistreatment. The  deprived of the most basic rights to appoint defense lawyers to represent them. They are subjected to a list of a limited group of government lawyers to choose from, and the rights of visits are denied.

According to Sky News, one of the activists, who preferred to be unidentified, said that more Iranian activists are expected to be arrested and brought to prison in the coming weeks.

Human rights violations in Iran have been going on for decades. In 1988, under the orders of the Supreme Leader at the time, the Iranian authorities executed more than 30,000 political prisoners, most of them members of the opposition.

Amnesty International has previously expressed concern about human rights violations in Iran in its latest report on the human rights situation in the world.

The Iranian regime continues its inhuman and oppressive practices against its political opponents, especially the Kurds, including the political detainee Zaynab Jalalian, who has been arrested by Iranian authorities since 2008 amidst the most severe torture and deteriorating health.
