Due to her suffering of early marriage, she works now to limit it

Nermin Muslim, a 22-year-old from Aleppo, married at the age of 14 from a man nine years older than her, but she refused to obey the wishes of the dominating man, she worked to combat male mentality, she is now educating young women to reduce the early marriage.

Due to the male mentality that restricted and imposed restrictions on the role of women, Nermin was unable to complete her education in order to marry but she was still minor. At the beginning of the Syrian crisis, Nermin fled to Lebanon to work, during this period, Nermin gave birth of a child.

After that, her husband began to define her life by working only at home, preventing her from going out to work and playing her role in building society. However, Nermin did not accept to live this life, so she decided to break away from her husband and return to Syria. And as a result of the specific circumstances, Nermin's family was displaced to the village of Kafer Naya in al-Shahba canton

A week after her arrival at Kafer Naia district center, Nermin met with the members of the Arab Democratic Youth Movement and suggested that she wants to join them to work in the movement and achieve what she sought to reach. She started working as a member for six months and worked hard with her friends to increase the number of female members and visit houses in the district to educate young women and the families to exclude the young women from early marriage, which distracts women.

She stressed that the Arab Democratic Youth Movement had given her the strength and she was able to get rid of the obstacles that obstructed her way along the path of free women.

She said at the end of her speech "My goal in working for the Arab Democratic Youth Movement is to educate every young woman and to reduce early marriage".
