She lives in a shop on the side of the road, through which she insures the livelihood of her seven children after the mercenaries looted her property, and she insists on the continuation of the struggle and the steadfastness until the liberation of Afrin.

A woman in the fifth decade of her life became an example of Afrin resistance women, preferring to live in the shop and open a basta to the life in Afrin under oppression and the occupation's practices.

Khaleda Hussein, 55 years old, from Janders lives in a shop in Babens village in Fafin district with seven of her children while her husband died years ago. After the occupation of Afrin on March 18 this year, hundreds of thousands of the people of Afrin were forced to migrate to areas of al-Shahba, including the mother Khaleda.

Khaleda owned 400 olive trees in Afrin, but the Turkish occupation cut and burned a number of the trees, and after she fled to al-Shahba canton, she borrowed 150 thousand pounds to open a basta to sell shoes to secure a living for her seven children.

In this context Khaleda pointed out that after the occupation of the Turkish army and its mercenaries of Afrin, they seized the property, and she in turn came out of Afrin with her seven children. She said, "So I do not need anyone, I borrowed money to open a project. I opened a shoes and slippers basta to insure a source of livelihood."

Khaleda stressed that they continue in the struggle and steadfastness until the liberation of Afrin and return to it.
