Organizing recreational activities for students of al-Raqqa

During IS occupation of the city of al-Raqqa, they had worked to close down all primary, secondary and elementary schools, institutes and universities in the city, creating chaos in the city and depriving students of study.

After the liberation of the city, the Education Committee of the Civil Council of al-Raqqa worked on the rehabilitation of the schools in al-Raqqa and its countryside. The number of active schools in the city of al-Raqqa and its countryside is 232 schools.

With the start of the new school year and the influx of students, in order to entertain students and encourage them to study after years of backwardness and loss, the Youth and Sports Committee of the Civil Council of al-Raqqa organized an event at a ceremony in the school of "Ibrahim Hanano" in al-Taiyar neighborhood.

The event began with a minute of silence on the souls of the martyrs. After that, the administrator of the Students' Committee of the Youth Council of al-Raqqa and its countryside, Ahmed al-Ugla, said: "Year after year in the years of the paths of life to realize dreams and hope, and youth without trouble, spring without flowers, a new school year full of beautiful faces and smiling secrets.

At the end of the celebration, the Youth and Sports Committee presented prizes and gifts to the children after conducting recreational competitions.

It is scheduled that such events will continue in several schools of al-Raqqa and its countryside.
