The residents of al-Saweh town, in collaboration with the municipality, lifted the rubble accumulated inside the Martyrs Square and removed its demolished wall. In turn, the municipality’s machineries transferred the piles of stones to their designated places until the square has become empty of rubble.

Moreover, the walls and doors of the school were painted. The boards were repaired and the classrooms were cleaned. It has become like a newly established school.

After that, the residents cleaned al-Zehoor Square in the eastern entrance of the town and the Panorama Square on the western side. They also planted the trees within them and painted them to change the shape of the entrance completely so that the cars would pass around the squares in a civilized and organized way for being the main entrance to the town.

In addition, the residents and the municipality’s workers spread the public dirt roads in the town with stone quarries in order to prevent water from gathering to not form marshes on the public roads in winter so that the vehicles would be able to walk without stopping due to the mud that used to prevent the people from driving within these roads in the winter.

The citizen Hassan Mohammed said, “We did this work with self-efforts by the people of the town. Our children are those who frequent to the school and this is what prompted us to seek to provide the right atmosphere for them to compensate for what they have missed of knowledge, and the least of what we offer them is a clean school. For the roads, we are those who walk on them and suffer every winter from them so that it was necessary to undertake self-efforts to benefit ourselves even if there was financial costs.”
