Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said Turkey does not support US sanctions against Iran and plans to continue trade with the country.

"We do not support any sanctions," Çavuşoğlu said in response to a question by Russian news agency Novosti if Turkey intends to implement US sanctions against the Iranian oil sector

He pointed out that Turkey will continue to trade with Iran despite the restrictions imposed on it.

"Yes, of course, we continue to trade with Iran, Russia and others," he said

The first package of US sanctions against Iran was formally introduced in August and focuses on the financial, commercial and industrial sectors.
