For more than 100 days, the Israeli authorities have decided to demolish the village of al-Khan al-Ahmar after being considered a military zone. The bulldozers were sent to them. However, the residents of al-Khan al-Ahmar and some who stood in solidarity with the Palestinians stood up against Israeli bulldozers and clashes broke out, to stop the demolition and the file of al-Khan is transferred to the Israeli courts

Al-Khan al-Ahmar is a geographical area inhabited by Palestinian "Bedouins" who were expelled from their homes in the 1948 war to take their homes from the area between the Palestinian valleys and the city of Jerusalem.

The decision of the Israeli High Court during the petition session, as expected, came as a result of the destruction of al-Khan, and this decision comes within the framework of the Israeli policy of expanding the territories it controls. The Israeli authorities therefore informed the residents of al-Khan that it would be self-demolished until October 1, or that the Israeli authorities would demolish their homes.

The decision was not accepted by the residents and the Palestinians, hundreds of whom are present daily in al-Khan, which is the link between the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Valleys area.

The al-Khan site, which is strategically important, means that the city of Jerusalem is completely isolated from the rest of the Palestinian Authority. Valleys area, which is the main source of food commodities for the West Bank and Jerusalem is separated and affiliated to the Israeli government.

Al-Khan al-Ahmar will face several scenarios, the first of which is the outbreak of violent confrontations between the Israeli and Palestinian forces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and the development of the confrontation to a military confrontation because of the already tense situation.

The second scenario is to limit the confrontation between the Israeli forces and the residents of al-Khan and the surrounding areas, ends of the control of the Israeli forces on al-Khan and this is the Israeli goal.

While the latter scenario is limited to the Palestinian leadership's approach to the international community to try the Israeli government without any popular movement on the ground, especially in light of the silence experienced by Gaza Strip and the absence of a comprehensive national movement to confront this Israeli plan.

Despite popular support and international solidarity with al-Khan al-Ahmar and its residents, Israel is moving ahead with its plans, drawing on by the support of the United States.
