Moscow took steps after its aircraft landed near Syrian coast

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Monday that Russia has taken three important steps to protect its soldiers in Syria against the backdrop of the landing of the Russian IL-20 aircraft last week.

The steps, according to the defense minister, include delivering Russian S-300 air defense systems to the Syrian regime within two weeks, processing the command centers of its air defense forces with an automatic control system that is exclusively existed to the Russian army and launching electromagnetic interference to prevent satellite and aircraft communications in the Mediterranean areas that are adjacent to the coast of Syria.

Shoigu once again held Israel the responsible for landing the plane by mistake by the Syrian air defenses on Monday evening which resulted in killing 15 Russian militaries. Shoigu confirmed that these steps were taken under the guidance of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Defense Ministry held a press conference in Moscow on Sunday, during which the spokesman of the ministry, the Major General Igor Konashnikov explained the details the circumstances of landing the Russian aircraft of "IL 20" in Syria .
