Lecture given on dangers of drug in Manbij

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Issa al-Hammadi who pointed at the beginning of his speech to the addiction, especially the current generations whose youths were addicted to certain things such as energy drinks and other types, as well as drinking large amounts of coffee, referring to the addiction to the use of the Internet and mobile phones. 

He touched upon the subject of drug setting a definition for the "abuse" as taking drug and "addict" as a person who cannot live without drug, noting that the youth group, especially adolescents are targeted because they are not fully raised.

During his speech, al-Hammadi called upon the concerned authorities such as the Civil Administration, the Internal Security Forces and other institutions to hold more and wider awareness-raising lectures periodically, and called the administration to open a rehabilitation center to receive drug addiction states.

On his part, the Internal Security’s member Anwar Asmar al-Sayyed spoke about the first and most important task of the Internal Security Forces which is to combat drug by pursuing drug addicts as well as drug traders and promoters.

He added that the Internal Security Forces have prepared awareness-raising leaflets that will be attached to the streets and schools in cooperation with some civil institutions "youth and media."
