Suggestions , recommendations in symposium of 'Horizons of Education in Manbij'

The symposium, organized by Intellectuals Union in Manbij, was held in the School of Industry, in the presence of dozens of teachers and educational mentors in addition to members of Democratic Civil Administration institutions.

The symposium began with holding a minute of silence. After that, the co-chair president of Intellectuals Union in Manbij city and its countryside Ahmed Youssef delivered  a speech welcoming the attendees.

The seminar dealt with several topics, the most important of which is the reality of education and teachers in Manbij and its countryside, future projects, training and rehabilitation, the problems facing the education sector and the aspirations .

The co-chair of the Education Committee, Suhail Wali, touched upon during the symposium the conditions of education in Manbij since its liberation and said "After the liberation, there was fear by the teachers. There was no open school. After several meetings, a number of teachers were accepted to teach in schools, until the number of schools reached 216, and classes were opened to teach the Kurdish language.".

After extensive discussions, the attendees reached a number of recommendations, including the agreement with the Bureau of Education within the Syrian Democratic Council for the training of teachers, in addition to working on the opening of a university in coordination with the University of Kobanî.

During the meeting, a number of projects related to teachers were also presented, such as forming a medical committee, working on providing health cards for teachers, providing emergency financial assistance to teachers and opening a special park for teachers.
