She fantastically manifested woman fighter in drawings

Khadija Shteiwi who is at 20-year-old artist from al-Tabqa city, she likes drawing since she was of a child, especially charcoal drawing. She likes to share the children's dreams and draw smiles on their faces through her colorful drawing that focus on the most beloved cartoon characters for the children.

Khadija participated in some works of art and drawing on the walls of schools, in addition to her contribution to the drawing of some awareness boards in al-Tabqa, which reflect the importance of maintaining hygiene, as part of the clean campaign launched by Young Women's Union in the region in previous periods.

In an interview with (ANHA) with Khadija Shteiwi in her studio in the cultural center in al-Taqba city, she pointed out that she stopped practicing her hobby during occupation of  IS mercenaries for the region where she could not draw because of the practices IS and their fighting against art in all its forms as well as burning more than 20 drawing before the fall of the city in the hands of IS mercenaries.

"I have burned all my drawings and I could not protect them from the practices of IS  where they killed inside me the spirit of art and creativity, but this spirit returned to me after liberating the city from grip IS mercenaries," Khadija added.

Khadija Shteiwi was impressed in the spirit of resistance and redemption shown by women during liberation battles in the region from IS gangs, which she saw with her own eyes, embodied by some of her drawings that expressed the reality of women and their major role in the liberation and protection of society.

In this regard, Khadija noted that the characters she has drawn up for woman strugglers are real figures of women combatants on the ground, especially fighters in the Women Protection Units (YPJ) who have had  major role in liberating women from the abomination of IS.

On the other hand, Khadija expressed her thanks and gratitude to everyone who had a fingerprint in her return to practice drawing hobby and everyone who contributes to the support and development of her talent.

Khadija also trains children on drawing in the activities carried out by the Cultural Center in the region in cooperation with teachers graduated from institutes of Fine Arts and others with experience in this field.
