1st Euphrates Literary Festival kicks off

The Culture Body of the Executive Council in Raqqa Canton is organizing the festival, which begins today at the Cultural Center, with a gathering of writers, poets, and authors from various Syrian regions.

The festival's activities will be held at the Cultural Center Hall in Raqqa at 7:00 p.m.

Day One

The first day includes the opening ceremony and poetry recitations by writers from Latakia, Homs, Damascus, Qamishlo, and Hasaka. It also features the opening of a book fair. In addition, the festival will commemorate several renowned literary figures from Raqqa, such as Mustafa Al-Bleibel, Abdul Salam Al-Ajeeli, and the writer and author Fawziya Al-Marei.

Day Two

The second day will feature an exploratory tour of Jaabar Castle to learn about the history and antiquities of this ancient cultural and historical landmark. In the evening, participants will recite poetry and read short stories.

Day Three

On the third day, participants will visit institutions of the Autonomous Administration to learn about their work. In the evening, there will be more poetry readings and short story sessions. The festival will conclude with a closing ceremony honoring the participants, accompanied by a musical performance by the Cultural Center’s Arts and Culture Band.
