Al-Hengorî : Turkey exploits Syrian people to achieve its interests

The fate of the Syrian city of Idlib became the talk of the Syrian street and the world, as all parties to the Syrian crisis are betting on it, especially the countries that met in Astana.

Although the guarantors of the Astana process will meet on September 7 to discuss the fate of the city where tens of thousands of mercenaries and militant fighters have met, indications signify that the region is moving towards a military escalation, especially as expectations mount for the Syrian regime to launch a military operation to retake it.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with member of the organizational office of the Future Syria Party in Manbij city Mustafa El-Hengorî, he said that the process of De-escalation took the opposite concept which is the escalation of fire than de-escalation.

Idlib city is considered the last area agreed upon in the framework of the Astana talks to de-escalation in Syria, which was taken as a zone to de-escalation with guarantee of Russia, Turkey and Iran.

Al-Hengorî said a plan was being made to get Turkey out of Idlib. He pointed out that the Turkish-Russian understandings in Idlib and earlier in the areas controlled by the regime at the expense of the "opposition" were part of Turkey's pursuit of its interests. He pointed out that Turkey's handing over of the Syrian territories to the regime does not reach a humanitarian and moral level. It is at the expense of blood and the Syrian people.

He expressed his rejection of any further demographic changes in Afrin, pointing out that the issue of settling Idlib residents in Afrin should not be considered, stressing that the operation is aimed at causing great strife not only at the level of Syria but also at the level of the regional countries.

Turkey and its mercenaries occupied Afrin city on 18 March this year after nearly two months of fighting. Turkey then changed Afrin's demographic by resettling the eastern inhabitants of eastern al-Ghouta, who were displaced by a Russian-Turkish agreement.

Neutralizing civilians

Al-Hangori demanded for the neutralization of civilians and the observance of international law relating to war. "The neutralization of civilians is a humanitarian demand and an international and regional demand."
