"Maybe they could kill flowers, but spring is coming"

The women in Zorava neighborhood in Damascus denounced the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed that they join their voices to the voice of Kurdish women to increase the pace of struggle and resistance.

Kongra Star in Zorava neighborhood in the Syrian capital Damascus issued a statement to the public opinion in which they appealed to the international countries to break their silence towards the violations of the Turkish occupation against the peoples in North Syria and to end the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan.

The text of the statement read by Kongra Star's member Zaynab Mohammed, and it included,

"To the public opinion and on behalf of Kongra Star Council in Damascus and the Free Woman, we condemn the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan and denounce their practices, including all forms of injustice and ignorance against the freedom of the peoples of the world in general and the women's freedom in particular.

They were able to kill the flowers, but they will not prevent the spring from coming. We, the women of Zorava neighborhood of Damascus, join our voice and struggle to the women of Kurdistan and the world to strengthen the struggle and raise the banner of the free martyrs."
