Darwish : Martyr Adnan Abo Amjad was great commander

Today, 29 August marks the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the Commander-in-Chief of the Manbij Military Council Adnan Abu Amjad, who was martyred last year while he was participating in liberation al-Raqqa city's  campaign from IS grip.

Sharvan Darwish, the official spokesman for Manbij Military Council, says that he had spent long periods of fighting with the martyr Adnan Abu Amjad from the start of  the Manbaj's uprising in 2011 through the battles of Kobani until the liberation of Manbij, that he was a field commander in every sense of the word.

Abu Amjad said that Abu Amjad, "wherever he existed , he was playing his role even if he did not occupy a commander position." Abu Amjad had a great footprint in Kobani 's battles and was one of the leaders who participated in the battles of Gire spi, Ain Issa ,al-Holl , al-Shaddadi , arriving to Tishren Dam , and Manbij city's liberation."

He noted that the fighters under the banner of  Manbij Military Council all agreed that the martyr Adnan Abu Amjad, commander-in-chief of the Council before the start of battles to liberate Manbij city."

And added saying "Abu Amjad he had undertook the heaviest burden in the administration of  the tasks and negotiations in order to reach the decision to liberate Manbij city, who was one of the people who went to Incirlik base in Turkey and negotiated with the international sides to take the decision to start the liberation campaign."

With launching Manbij city s' liberation campaign Abu Amjad was in addition to the martyr Abu Laila on the first fronts and they were the two most prominent who participated in the battles, which were performing the tasks to the fullest.

Abu Amjad was not only at the front lines in Manbij city’s liberation campaign, but also in al-Raqqa  city's liberation campaign which he was martyred in it . At the time, Abu Amjad was heading to the front lines of al-Raqqa campaign to see and assess the situation of Manbij Military Council fighters participating in the campaign.

After his martyrdom, al-Raqqa city's liberation campaign "The Wrath of the Euphrates" under the name of Martyr Adnan Abu Amjad, commander of the Manbij military council, who was  martyred during the battle on August 29, 2017.

Sharvan Darwish mentioned some of the qualities of the martyr Abu Amjad, the most prominent of which was decisive in everything in the management of battles, life and in the application of the laws, so he had a distinctive personality and despite his decisive he had a high spirit of comradeship, has the love of all by his qualities which made him always distinguished.”

The official spokesman of the Manbaj military council, Sharvan Darwish, said "On behalf of the military council, commanders and fighters have renewed their commitment to walk in the path of the great martyrs, whether in Manbij city or North Syria."
