10 Mw transformer operated again in al-Tabqa

The transformer entered the experimental phase practically five days ago, and by inaugurating the secondary transformer, the pressure on the main transformer in the conversion yard near the Euphrates Dam was reduced. The capacity reached 30 Mw /h as the load of the latter at the peak of the summer reached 98% and it was about to be exposed to defects with high proportions while its current load is less than 75%.

The transformer was allocated to supply the directorate’s line or in other words, the line of the neighborhoods area in al-Tabqa city in addition to the line of al-Bu Asi area in the western countryside of the city.

The administrator of the Electricity Directorate in al-Tabqa Ali Habesh expressed his joy to operate the transformer saying, "We in the Electricity Directorate congratulate operating the transformer with the capacity of 10 Mw/h after it has been got out of service for 8 years. Operating the transformer results in the increase of lighting in al-Tabqa area.

It is worth mentioning that al-Tabqa city was dominated by several mercenary gangs of various names, but since its liberation by the Syrian Democratic Forces on May 10 last year and the formation of the Democratic Civil Administration for the city, the administration has been working hard to serve the people.
