1st Civil Defense Forces' course concluded in al-Raqqa

The ceremony was held at the center of the Transport Department on the northern silos road. The members of the Internal Security Forces in al-Raqqa, representatives of the International Coalition and the two co-chairs of al-Raqqa Civil Council Abdul Hamed al-Mahbash and Leila Mustafa participated in the ceremony.

The graduation ceremony began with holding a minute of silence. Then, a speech was delivered by the co-chair of al-Raqqa Civil Council Leila Mustafa who congratulated the joiners on finishing this course which is considered a good omen to the people, and that will service them in the event of any emergency that may occur within the city and its countryside.

The Internal Security Forces’ administrator Salah al-Din al-Ali said, "The Civil Defense is no of little importance. The task of the Civil Defense is to help the people when any emergency would occur, and will service the people over 24 hours."

The trainees then presented performances simulating their skills and abilities in providing the people with aid, help them from traffic accidents and explosions and rescue them from the rubble and debris of the destroyed buildings.

It is noteworthy that the four-month course was attended by 33 young men who received a series of intellectual, moral and training lessons on how to save the civilians.
