1st hospital for eye, heart surgery in al-Jazeera will soon be in service

The Health Committee in al-Jazeera region laid the corner stone for the first hospital of heart and eye surgery in the region three years ago, in order to provide services to the people of the region, the project is due to be completed within two months.

The hospital consists of 3 floors, the lower is reserved for patients' ambulances, the ground floor for ambulances, radiology laboratory, central medicine center and a clinic for doctors specialized in treating patients, and if the patient needs surgery or the like, he will be transferred to the specialized doctors in operations room. The second floor is the department of catheterization and cardiothoracic surgery, two rooms for intensive care.The upper floor for eye surgery, several doctors' clinics, and special rooms for patients and equipped with modern medical equipment.

The Health Committee has allocated a park within the hospital for patients, the patient can go for rest, and the people who visit their patients can also sit there.

The administrator of the heart and eye surgery in the hospital, Mohamed Karmo, explained that the purpose of the hospital was to provide assistance to the people of al-Jazeera who were having difficulties in carrying out surgical operations, the most prominent of these difficulties are traveling outside the region for medical treatment, as well as the high expenses they spent.

Mohammed said that the hospital is in its final stages now, and the completion of the full work of the hospital and its facilities in all respects will be within two months, and will be in the service of the people with a very symbolic expense.

As for the medical staff at the hospital, he pointed out that there is a distinguished staff in the field of eye and heart, and noted that the graduates of Rojava academy for Health in Serê Kaniyê, they can contribute in the future and play a prominent role in the development of the hospital's work, each according to specialty.
