Motorcycles though inconvenient, important transportation, so what is the solution?

Motorcycles numbers have increased in most cities and Rojava areas and North Syria in recent years, control and laws governing are absent  where motorcycles have become a means of entertainment for large numbers for teenagers, causing the disturbance of the people and obstructing traffic.

According to the Traffic Department in al-Jazeera region, about 40 thousand motorcycles were registered in administration’s records.

It is known that motorcycles are an important and necessary means of transportation for a large segment of the population, due to the cheap prices compared to the prices of cars and the low costs. It is used by rural people to move between villages and go to orchards, and used by many parents, merchants, shop owners, professionals and employees to reach their work, whether in the city or the countryside.

Congestion and the obstruction of traffic and random corner of the problems experienced by the people.

However, motorcycles have increased in recent years and the lack of laws governing the movement, and the lack of special parking to in the cities of Rojava areas and the north of Syria, raised a number of problems that parents and shop owners complain about it . The phenomenon of the motorcycle parking has spread on the platforms which are usually reserved for planting trees. Many motorcyclists ride their bikes in the crowded streets of cities and neighborhoods, sometimes on sidewalks, which obstacle the movement of people, the passage of vehicles, and obstacle the work of merchants and shop owners.

Citizen Suleiman Mirza from Derik area's children in al-Jazeera region said, “ We do not oppose the existence of motorcycles, as I traveled in many cities and capitals and the motorcycles were heavy, but in Derik became a fashion to compete on and a source of inconvenience to the people which is becoming an obsession with the people because of tragic accidents."

The administrator in the General Directorate of Traffic Montaser Qengo noted that the branches of the administration in the rest of the cities and regions of the region are communicating with municipal administrations in order to allocate special parking for motorcycles in the rest of the regions and cities of the region.

Teenagers and Reckless driving is a phenomenon that parents demand to end it

Where the neighborhoods and cities of Rojava and northern Syria witness the phenomenon of teenagers roaming motorcycles on the streets at rest time, and late at night, and playing the music and songs by players and loudspeakers mounted on bicycles, which is a great inconvenience to the people and is a threat to the lives of civilians, especially children in popular neighborhoods.

Sulaiman Mirza commented on this negative phenomenon: "Young people and teenagers do not respect the laws and because driving itself is morality, so we call on the concerned parties to put an end to this phenomenon that causes concern and inconvenience to the people."

The General Directorate of Traffic in  al-Jazeera region noted in this regard to a general traffic law to prevent driving motorcycles, cars and vehicles under the age of 18 years.

Montasser Qengo explained that the administration violates the driving of motorbikes under the legal age to hold the motorcycle for ten days, in addition to a pledge of the guardian not to repeat it, and if repeated, the bike is reserved for one month

Citizen Kamiran Hussain also spoke on the subject said " motorcycles have increased in Derik, causing massive accidents which caused death large numbers of people due to excessive speed and challenge among the teenagers and race with their bikes within the markets and main streets ."

As for the phenomenon of exhaust and tampering with the structures of motorcycles such as putting lights that blind the vision of others, the General Directorate noted that traffic patrols in the region seize bicycles and violators.
