Ahres Municipality implemented service projects , prepared for another

People's Municipality of al-Shahba canton continues to provide and implement service projects within its potential for the Afrin residents living in the villages and areas of al-Shahba.

The water

In order to deliver water to villages in Ahres district, the municipality implemented a project to deliver water to all the houses. The municipality established a pool "a place to fill the drinking water in the tankers" for distribution to Harbel village and Emm al-Hush and Emm al-Qura villages.

Maintenance of sewerage

In the wake of the battles that broke out in the canton years ago, which caused great damage to sewage networks, and to avoid problems and form floods in the streets of the villages of Ahres district during the coming winter, the municipality is working to repair sewage streams at all damaged points.

In addition to these projects, the municipality has allocated a team of cleaning workers to clean the streets of the district.

ANHA agency met with the co-chair of Ahres Municipality Rashid Mustafa who said, "We provide services to the people of Afrin living in al-Shahba as much as possible, and in terms of water shortages, we have set up a pool to distribute water to the villages of Om al-Hush, Om al-Qura and some other villages by means of tankers."

As for their future projects, Rashid pointed out that they are preparing to create a new popular market to ease the congestion and traffic problems in the main streets, and suitable place for this market will be allocated soon.
