SDF liberated Yazidi family in Deir ez-Zor

The Syrian Democratic Forces continue to advance and comb the remaining areas east of the Euphrates River from the remnants of IS and liberate the civilians and abductees from the latter's grip as part of their joint operation with the International Alliance and the Iraqi army’s support to end IS on the entire border and secure the area.

On Sunday night, SDF units managed to free a Yazidi family consisted of a mother and four children from the clutches of IS in the eastern bank of the Euphrates River as there are small parts of terrorists who have been trapped there.

According to sources, the Yazidi family includes the mother Ghazal Jouki and her children Dalia, Habib, Ali and Sami who were among those who have been kidnapped in the attack planned on Şengal on August 3, 2014 when the Iraqi forces and the Peshmerga withdrew from Şengal for IS to commit horrific massacres against the Yazidis and to Kidnap their children and women.

The family was handed over to the concerned members of the Civil Council of Deir ez-Zor which in turn delivered them to the Autonomous Administration bodies and the relations of the Women Protection Units which had previously formed a special committee for the Yazidi abducted women to be cared for and handed over to the Autonomous Administration council in Şengal.
